The youngest of five kids, Holly is often described as being born with a lacrosse stick in her hand. Trying to keep up with her brother and sisters led her to a career as a high school All American and the opportunity to play at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville , her hometown. Upon graduation, she left for Charlotte, NC to work with the AAU Junior Olympics and the Charlotte Sports Commission. She then headed west to San Francisco where she worked with Power Bar and Young & Rubicam Advertising while coaching a local lacrosse league. Realizing her passion for education, she came back to the University of Virginia where she received a Master’s in Education and began teaching locally while coaching at the high school level.
In 2017 Holly ran her first marathon and finished in under four hours.
