My Story

J.D. coached at Amherst College after spending two seasons coaching at his alma mater, Washington & Lee University.  During both years at Amherst the team went to the NCAA Tournament, including the DIII Final Four in 2015-16.  J.D. knows the recruiting process inside-and-out, as he has recruited a total of four high-academic classes comprised of players across the country.  He holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Business Administration from W&L, and also earned his Masters in Sport Management from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass. 

Also excelling on the court, J.D. became the only player in Washington & Lee program history to record 1,000 points, 800 rebounds, 200 assists, 150 blocks and 100 steals. He was named the team's Most Valuable Player as a sophomore, junior and senior.

Why did you join SPORTMATCH?

Simply put, I joined SportMatch to help families understand the value of athletics in helping a child obtain a higher level of education than they may have been able to reach without sport.
